This one eyed monster is Mike, Sulley’s best friend from the movie Monsters Inc. He is a little blob of fun. This is an officially licensed child outfit that is great for Halloween or parties. Check out this Clive Barker Dark Bazaar creation! It is a very colorful costume indeed. The full face mask and pull over shirt make you look like some sort of monster that crawled out of the sea or perhaps some sort of dragon being. The stretchy shirt has a vibrant print and leather like fin details. The blue mask has firey orange tipped fins and beard with menacing pointed teeth. Monsters have been scaring us for a long time- perhaps in one form or another since the birth of man. Some of the more traditional conceptions are mummies, the werewolf, vampires, etc. These usually tend to be some sort of freak of nature. Other types are more than human like aliens, cyborgs- think Terminator here, zombies or some other species of being.
It doesn’t have to be Halloween to watch a monster movie either. There are several movies that qualify and are not based around the trick or treat season. Take for instance the Resident Evil movies. They are filled with zombie monsters spanning across the world plagued with a nasty virus. Or what about I am Legend, where Will Smith fights off vampire like beasts. Interestingly, the I am Legend monsters are actually infected by a virus as well.
Aliens are good monster costumes too. There are several scary monsters in alien movies. Think about the Predator movie, or the movie Alien. Those are probably top on my list for alien monster costumes. Then of course there is the lighter site with Monsters vs. Aliens.
