Scary Halloween Monster Costumes

There are many Halloween monster costumes out there, but scary outfits are my favorite.  There really are too many to list on this page, but lets look at a few here to start giving you costume ideas.

Scarecrow Monster Costume
This child scarecrow costume really creeps me out!  The mask is formed to look like burlap and it has an attached hood of burlap.  Its mouth looks like it is tied up with leather lace into a fierce scowl.

The brown shirt top is rough hewn and has a rope belt and ties for the sleeves.  Poking out of the arms are bony hands with long creepy fingers.  You can get this in medium or large and it is loose fitting so there is some room for error.  There are adult scarecrow costumes too!

Halloween Swamp Monster Costume
There are many scary things that are in the deep swamp, but this swamp creature walks the night in your neighborhood.

The tattered top is a scaly green shirt with a brown and green overlay that is almost like camouflage.  There are oversized gloves with black claws and webbed fingers that are highly detailed and look very swamp-like.  The matching mask definitely has a murky water creature look about it.  It has great pointy teeth and fin like scales.

You get the shirt, the mask and gloves when you order this costume.  You could easily wear a pair of old tattered jeans with it to complete the look.

Scary Clown Halloween Costume
Clowns are a funny sort.  They are usually know for fun and games and for our entertainment.  However, there are some people that are terrified by clowns.  And who wouldn’t be scared by this psycho clown?

The black and white striped clown costume is that of a typical jester but has an overlay with tattered look and skulls at the harlequin points on the shirt top.    But really brings this scary costume to life is the mask.  With a crazy toothy smile and the evil look in the eyes accented by the red nose and bright red curly hair, this clown is sure to frighten the neighborhood.

Scarecrows were originally built by farmers to ward of birds from eating the crops. Most are just old clothing stuffed with hay and strapped to a post.  But there has been a trend in animating this tool into some sort of half man half creature.  Some are strange characters like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, and then there are more scary scarecrows like in the movie The Dark Night of the Scarecrow or the villain in Batman Begins.
